Privacy Policy

Effective 18 July 2026. This policy explains how RunQuest collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects information when you use runquest.fit.

The short version

Your training belongs to you. RunQuest uses the information you provide to operate your account and personalize your running plan. We do not sell it. The service is operated by the owner of runquest.fit, referred to here as “RunQuest”, “we”, or “us”.

Information we collect

We collect account details such as your name and email; profile and training preferences; runs, gym sessions, readiness answers, discomfort reports, goals, shoes, imports, and notes you choose to enter; support messages; and limited technical and security information such as session, device, login, and delivery records.

How we use it

We use your information to create and adapt workouts, calculate progress and readiness, operate and secure your account, answer support requests, send essential account emails, improve RunQuest, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Optional marketing messages are sent only when you choose them.

Where it is stored

RunQuest stores account data on its production server and encrypted or access-controlled backups. Service providers may process limited data for hosting, backup storage, email delivery, security, and support. Current providers include our VPS host, Backblaze B2 for backups, and Resend for transactional email.

Who can access it

Users can access only records connected to their own account. The RunQuest owner and authorized support operators may access account information when reasonably needed to provide support, investigate security or misuse, maintain the service, or comply with law. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party targeted advertising.

Cookies and sessions

RunQuest uses essential cookies to keep you signed in, protect account sessions, and remember interface preferences. These cookies are required for the service to work. RunQuest does not currently use third-party advertising cookies.

Emails

We send essential messages for verification, password recovery, security, and support. Product updates are optional. You can turn optional updates off in your account, but service and security messages may still be sent. Email delivery providers receive the address and message content needed to deliver those emails.

Your choices and rights

You can review and update account details, export your RunQuest data, withdraw optional marketing consent, and permanently delete your account from Account settings. Depending on applicable law, you may also request access, correction, restriction, objection, portability, or deletion by contacting us. Some records may be retained when required for security, disputes, or legal compliance.

Sensitive training information

Readiness, discomfort, heart-rate, and training information may be personal or health-adjacent. RunQuest uses it only to provide the features you request and does not provide a medical diagnosis. Please avoid entering information you do not want stored in your account. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Retention, transfers, and changes

We keep account and training information while your account is active and for only as long afterward as reasonably needed for backups, security, disputes, and legal obligations. Backup copies may take a limited period to expire after account deletion.

Our providers or servers may process information outside your country. Where required, we use reasonable contractual and security safeguards for these transfers.

We may update this policy as RunQuest changes. Material changes will be shown in the service or sent to the email connected to your account, and the effective date above will be updated.
